Ajax and Javascript increase business revenues in Media Publishing industry

Publishing is the process of production and dissemination of literature or information – the activity of making information available for public view. They include newspaper, book, magazine, database, portal and web-publishers, music companies, broadcasters and film producers as well as advertising agencies– all of which help create content (songs, music, information, articles, stories, poems, films, shows) and make it commercially successful. And one of the major part of the media is the entertainment industry. The entertainment industry covers the film, broadcasting, music industry, Television, radio, fashion industry etc.

The major software that is used is 3D animation. A few of the best animation software applications that are used abundantly in the animation studios is Adobe ImageReady, & Macromedia Fireworks. The animation process involves creating series of layers that become the frames of the Animation. Multiple layers are created by using Adobe ImageReady or any other similar software, & each of the layers that get created later on become a separate frame in the animation. And what drives this application is the JavaScript and Ajax technology.JavaScript is very fast because any code functions can be run immediately instead of having to contact the server and wait for an answer. JavaScript is relatively simple to learn and implement. It plays nicely with other languages and can be used in a huge variety of applications. Unlike PHP or SSI scripts, JavaScript can be inserted into any web page regardless of the file extension. JavaScript can also be used inside scripts written in other languages such as Perl and PHP. With Ajax, the page can be refreshed dynamically. When HTML is generated within a browser via JavaScript, the Ajax pages can seem to load much faster. When Ajax is used, it allows programmers to make a separation between the methods and formats they use to deliver information via the Internet.

The publishing industry has increasingly embraced the XML data standard, and there is a pressing need for identifying and processing the changes in XML documents. And Ajax is made up of four components ie HXTML, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) ,XMLHTTPRequest objects & JavaScript.Ajax uses XML metadata vocabulary for managing, aggregating, post-processing, multi-purposing and aggregating magazine, news, catalog, book, and mainstream journal content. Few documents in any publishing environment are static pages. Documents are constantly being added to and edited in the course of their production and distribution. Whilst there are many powerful editing tools for the online and realtime editing of documents in a non-XML format, there are relatively few robust tools which can examine and compare and manipulate the changes which occur in XML documents. And javascript provides a solution for showing changes to XHTML, DocBook, OpenDocument and other XML document formats.
